A man has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after a two-truck smash in Sydney’s southwest.
Emergency services were called to the M7 motorway at Prestons, near the M5 exit, just after 2pm following reports of a multi-vehicle crash.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the 60-year-old man was taken to Liverpool Hospital and his injuries are unknown at this stage.
Police also attended the incident, which forced the closure of both southbound lanes, causing major delays.
The crash site has now been cleared and both lanes have reopened. However, motorists have been urged to allow extra travel time as traffic remains heavy in the area.
Fire and Rescue NSW crews were also at the scene working to contain a fuel spill as a result of the crash.
