MOOREBANK
Police are investigating a 10-vehicle accident on the M5 motorway last week.
Emergency services were called to the motorway near the Moorebank Ave exit shortly after 5.25am on January 31.
Investigations indicate the first vehicle braked suddenly for an unknown reason, causing the second vehicle to collide with it. A number of secondary accidents followed, resulting in 10 vehicles being damaged.
One person sustained non-life threatening head injuries and bleeding from the head, while another was treated at the scene for a wrist injury.
There were significant traffic delays, with traffic extending about 10km by 7am. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
LIVERPOOL
A 16-year-old boy was charged following investigations into an alleged robbery in Liverpool.
About 10.30pm on January 24, a 16-year-old boy was allegedly robbed at the Liverpool Bus Interchange.
Police conducted a search warrant at a Chester Hill home on February 2 and allegedly located items belonging to the victim.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and charged. He was conditionally bailed to appear at Campbelltown Children’s Court on March 15.
Investigations are continuing to identify up to five other offenders.
WARWICK FARM
Police are appealing for information following an alleged child approach in Warwick Farm on Monday.
Investigations indicate a girl was walking along Lawrence Hargrave Drive about 4.30pm when she was followed by an unknown man in a silver-coloured hatchback with red P-plates.
Police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being Mediterranean or Middle Eastern in appearance, aged 20-30 years, with short brown hair. The man was wearing a yellow high-visibility shirt.
LIVERPOOL
A man was arrested after allegedly attempting to use counterfeit money to pay for shopping items in Liverpool.
About 1.10pm on Saturday, a 37-year-old man from Bonnyrigg Heights entered a greengrocer’s store in Liverpool and allegedly attempted to pay for some items with a counterfeit $50 note.
The employee realised the note was fake and chased the man, who ran away.
Police attended and arrested the man, who was charged. He was conditionally bailed to appear at Liverpool Local Court today.
HINCHINBROOK
Police are appealing for information after two men were assaulted in Hinchinbrook on Saturday.
Police were called to Keppel Circuit about 11.45pm after two men, aged 29 and 55, were struck with a crowbar by unknown people who had arrived at the home in a black Holden Astra.
They suffered non-life threatening injuries.
