Foodies, get ready: the much-anticipated Paper Mill Food precinct is set to open its doors next weekend.
The riverside dining destination, located at 20 Shepherd St, Liverpool, will be open from Saturday, August 10, offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and coffee seven days a week.
Diners will be spoiled for choice with four restaurants under one roof, and private and semi-private function spaces, catering for up to 120 guests.
The eateries include a cafe/bakery/dessert bar, pizzeria, charcoal chicken and burger outlet, and an a la carte restaurant specialising in meat and seafood cooked over charcoal and in the wood-fired oven.
A takeaway and delivery menu is also available.
The Paper Mill Food’s general manager Jason Chow said there was nothing in western Sydney like the precinct.
“We spent considerable time researching what we were going to put into this space, as we wanted to make sure it was what the community of Liverpool and greater western Sydney have been wanting and deserve,” he said.
“We’re excited to open with our take on Lebanese chicken, pizza, meats grilled over charcoal, and coffee and pastries.”
The dining quarter is housed within a restored heritage building — once Australia’s largest paper mill — dating from 1868.
Designers have drawn inspiration from its industrial heritage, with features including timber joinery, Carrara marble, custom cast iron sculpting resembling nineteenth-century ovens and a handmade mosaic tile floor.
The original brickwork and sawtooth roof were retained.
