Mirvac’s Brighton Lakes masterplanned community at Moorebank has been named best residential development at a national award ceremony.

The project, which was completed last year, was recognised by the Urban Development Institute of Australia for excellence in residential development.

The 306-lot masterplan has a mix of freestanding single and double-storey homes, townhouses and two-bedroom strata apartments.

Unprecedented demand during the sales period saw a ballot system introduced by Mirvac to ensure the purchasing process was fair, with the project attracting 8000 registrations of interest.

Mirvac’s Head of Residential Stuart Penklis said the holistic approach to developing Brighton Lakes had resulted in a win-win for residents and the community, setting a template for future residential subdivision.
