Liverpool man allegedly assaulted nine people at Elizabeth St shopping centre

A 26-year-old man accused of sexually touching and assaulting up to nine people at a southwest Sydney shopping centre will celebrate the new year while remanded in custody.

A man accused of sexually touching and assaulting up to nine people at a shopping centre in a single day has been charged with 21 offences.

Police were called to a shopping centre on Elizabeth St, Liverpool on Wednesday, December 21 following reports a man had touched two girls, aged six and nine.

A 26-year-old man was stopped by security as he went to leave the centre, before he was arrested by police and taken to Liverpool police station, where he was charged with two counts of common assault, and stalk/intimidate intentions with fear and physical harm.

Following further investigations, police charged the man with 18 further offences on Thursday including sexually touching another person without consent, intentionally sexually touching a child under 10, and common assault.

The man appeared at Liverpool Local Court on December 22 where he was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on January 9.
