Liverpool Council livens up night-life with new after-work pop-up events

Liverpool’s night-time economy is set to receive a boost with the launch of a new series of after-work pop-up events.

Love Livo Nights will take place on the first Thursday of every month from September 5, giving workers, residents and students a chance to try exciting new menus and share an after-work drink while enjoying live music.

The council initiative, funded by the NSW Government, is part of efforts to create an 18-hour vibrant city as the CBD undergoes a transformation.

Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said the new event series would enhance the city’s cultural landscape.

The events will be held at a different CBD location each month.

“The pop-up series will showcase our city’s streetscapes by moving to a new laneway for each event, helping to establish a vibrant night-time economy in the heart of Liverpool,” she said.

“There’ll also be a fun, little twist each time — think Mexican cantina, or flavoursome Asian bites during Lunar New Year.

“Love Livo Nights will provide great after-work entertainment and give local businesses we’ve partnered with a chance to trial activation ideas, new menu items and extended trading hours.”

The pop-up events will be held from 5pm-8pm at a different CBD location each month, starting with 35 Scott St laneway on September 5.

There will be food, drinks and decor inspired by izakayas, small bars seen in Japan.

Future locations will include Moore Coffee, Northumberland Serviceway and Augusta Cullen Plaza.
