More than $50,000 was raised at this year’s Liverpool City Council charity ball for the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research.
Held at The William Inglis Hotel on Saturday, the black-tie event was Tokyo-inspired and featured Japanese entertainment and cuisine for the 300 guests who attended.
Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said the sixth annual ball was a success, with guests, sponsors and partners digging deep to help raise money for the Ingham Institute, based in Liverpool.
“On behalf of councillors and staff, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to our guests, sponsors, partners, MC and performers for contributing to the event’s fundraising success,” Cr Waller said.
Ingham Institute chief executive Darryl Harkness was thankful for the community’s support.
“We are delighted by the generosity of Liverpool City Council, charity ball sponsors and the many people who attended or have donated,” Mr Harkness said.
“The proceeds will go towards our student-focused programs, inspiring young people in Liverpool to pursue careers in health and science while gaining practical work experience and industry skills.”
Sponsors and partners included Daikin Australia, William Inglis & Son Ltd, Qube Holdings, South Western Sydney Local Health District, Perich Group, EID. Sydney, University of Wollongong, Western Sydney University, Crystal Productions, Imageology, Signarama Liverpool, Trooper Lu’s Garage and The William Inglis Hotel.
