Lidcombe, Liverpool: Man charged after $14m worth of drugs found in Sydney's south west
A man has been charged after a stash of drugs including heroin, MDMA and cocaine worth an estimated street value of $14m was found in Sydney’s south west.

A stash of drugs including heroin, MDMA and cocaine worth an estimated street value of $14m were allegedly uncovered at a southwest Sydney home during a raid.
Varun Nair, 33, was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug of a large commercial quantity and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
Organised Crime Squad detectives discovered 12kg of heroin, 16kg of MDMA and 500 grams of cocaine during a search at a unit on John St, Lidcombe about 12.15pm on Monday.
Strike Force Lollback and the South West Metropolitan Regional Enforcement Squad also found items relevant to the storage, packing and supply of prohibited drugs.
The items included a hydraulic press, three safes, money counters and mobile phones and were seized to undergo further forensic examination.
Nair was arrested and taken to Liverpool Police station after police executed another search warrant about 5pm at a home in Prestons.
During a search of the house, police seized mobile phones and approximately $60,000 in cash.
Nair appeared at Liverpool Local Court today and made no application for bail.
His matter will be heard at Campbelltown court on July 26. Inquiries under Strike Force Lollback continue.
Strike Force Lollback was established by detectives attached to State Crime Command’s Organised Crime Squad in February 2023 to investigate the supply of large commercial quantities of prohibited drugs and related money laundering offences.
