Green Valley: Woman charged following crash at Green Valley Plaza

A woman has been charged after a female pedestrian suffered serious injuries to both legs following a collision near a southwest Sydney shopping centre.

A woman has been charged after a female pedestrian suffered serious injuries to both legs following a collision near a southwest Sydney shopping centre.

Emergency services were called to a bus stop at Green Valley Plaza on Wilson Rd, Green Valley following reports a woman had been struck by a car about 1.30pm Wednesday.

The 74-year-old woman was waiting at the bus stop when a Toyota Corolla allegedly mounted the kerb and struck her.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the woman who suffered serious leg and facial injuries.

She was taken to Liverpool Hospital via police escort where she remains after undergoing surgery.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The Toyota driver, a 75-year-old woman, was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.

As part of inquiries, the driver attended Liverpool police station yesterday and spoke with investigators.

She was issued a court attendance notice for negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and is due to appear at Liverpool Local Court on November 13.
