Westfield Liverpool has been placed on alert after a shopper attended the centre while infectious with COVID-19.
NSW Health confirmed a previously reported case linked to Our Lady of Mercy College in Parramatta visited the shopping centre on Friday, August 7 from 10.30am to 11am and 12.30pm to 1pm.
The case also attended 5th Avenue Beauty Bar in Wetherill Park on Saturday, August 8 from 2pm to 3pm.
NSW Health said patrons and staff at the venues were considered casual contacts and are being advised to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, and immediately self-isolate and get tested should symptoms develop, however mild.
NSW recorded 12 new cases in the last 24-hour reporting period including four locally acquired cases linked to known clusters and five in returned travellers from overseas.
Three cases were locally acquired but do not have a known source.
Health authorities also confirmed a woman in her 80s who tested positive for COVID-19 has died, taking the total coronavirus death toll in NSW to 53.
Her infection was linked to the Our Lady of Lebanon cluster.
There are currently 135 COVID-19 cases being treated by NSW Health, including seven patients in intensive care.
