A club in Sydney’s southwest has undergone deep cleaning after a confirmed COVID-19 case visited the venue.
In a post on social media, Brighton Lakes Recreation and Golf Club said health authorities had advised a person who tested positive for coronavirus attended the Moorebank venue on August 28 between 6.15pm and midnight.
Anyone who was at the club for two hours or more between 6.15pm and 12.30am is considered a close contact and must be tested for COVID-19 and self-isolate until midnight on 11 September.
They must stay isolated even if this test result is negative.
The club reopened this morning after undergoing a deep clean on Thursday.
NSW Health has also advised other patrons who visited the club during that time to monitor for symptoms, and get tested and isolate immediately until they receive a negative result.
Bunnings Padstow has also been placed on alert, with authorities urging anyone who visited the store on Thursday, August 27 between 12pm and 2pm to monitor for symptoms.
Eight new cases were recorded in the 24 hours to 8pm on Thursday, one of which was a returned traveller in hotel quarantine.
Seven were locally acquired and linked to a known source or cluster.
Two of the community transmissions were household contacts of previously reported cases linked to Liverpool Hospital.
