Cooks River, Campsie: Three men taken to hospital after car crashes into river
Three men were taken to hospital after a Honda Jazz crashed through a barrier and landed in the Cooks River in Sydney’s southwest. Police are now investigating.

Three young men were taken to hospital after a car crashed into the Cooks River in Sydney’s southwest overnight.
Emergency services were called to Fifth Ave in Campsie about 3.30pm on Monday after reports a car had driven into the river and found a Honda Jazz in the water upon arrival.
Police have been told the car was travelling on Burwood Rd when it crossed into the southbound lane before crashing through the barrier and landing in the water.
The driver and two occupants, all men aged in their 20s, managed to get out of the car and were taken to hospital.
The driver will also undergo mandatory blood and urine tests.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
