A TEN year plan to construct the M12 link from the M7 Motorway to the new Western Sydney Airport has been announced as part of the State Budget.
The State Government, working in conjunction with the Commonwealth Government, announced the project would be included in the $3.6 billion Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan, to establish an integrated transport network around the new Airport.

A total of $438.9 million over the next year will go towards funding road upgrades to support the new Western Sydney Airport, including an injection of funds to support the construction of the remainder of Bringelly Rd and The Northern Rd between Narellan and Penrith.
The funding will coincide with the stage one plans for the new North-South Rail Link, running from St Marys to Badgerys Creek Aerotropolis via the Western Sydney Airport.

The rail link would connect to the T1 Western Line at St Marys.
NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet said the ambitious project would “connect passengers and future employees to the new Western Sydney Airport and the Western Parkland City Centre.
