A young South Coast man has admitted to causing a horror crash while driving drugged-up with a suspended licence in rural NSW, tragically killing his girlfriend and two mates.
Lachlan Stuckey, 22, fronted Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday, pleading guilty to three counts of dangerous driving causing death, driving with drugs in his system, and driving with a suspended licence.
Court documents state the crash occurred on July 28 last year at the intersection of Bungendore and Collector roads in Tarago.
Stuckey, of North Nowra, was behind the wheel when the vehicle rolled, resulting in the deaths of his girlfriend Charlie Quinn, 18, and friends Brooke Sorlie, 21, and Aaron French, 20.
Stuckey survived the crash and was taken to Canberra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
He was later arrested and charged following a police investigation, and granted conditional bail which he remains on.
The court previously heard the group had been travelling home to the South Coast from Canberra after spending the weekend away when the crash occurred.
Stuckey appeared in court donning a grey suit and a double nose ring, accompanied by a number of supporters.
After pleas, Magistrate Timothy Khoo adjourned Stuckey’s case for further mention on August 6.
He will be sentenced at a later date.
