Foodie fans rejoice — the empire behind The Grounds of Alexandria is expanding once again, with plans revealed for The Grounds of South Eveleigh.
The Grounds founder, Ramzey Chocker said the move to South Eveleigh would feature a stunning events space and expansive coffee roastery at the revitalised The Locomotive Workshop by Mirvac.
“We want to create something incredibly beautiful for the site and for Sydney – it’s not just a hospitality venue, it will be a space where time almost stands still,” Mr Chocker said.
He said the new site was expected to open early next year, and will include behind-the-scenes tours and coffee workshops.
The Grounds head roaster, Nick Ferguson said the group have lead him on “an amazing journey” for the past nine years.
“I never imagined that my love for coffee would lead me to travelling around the world visiting coffee farms and leading a state-of-the-art roasting facility like this. It really is something special,” Mr Ferguson said.
A canteen serving breakfast and lunch will also be a feature of the new site, alongside
