Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a man that robbed a service station overnight in Sydney’s inner west.

After reports of the armed robbery, police were called to a service station on Parramatta Rd, Stanmore, around 12.15am on Monday.

Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command attended and were told a man entered the service station and threatened an employee with a knife, demanding cash.

The man stole the cash and fled on foot, and was last seen on Parramatta Rd.

The employee who was reportedly held at knifepoint was left unharmed.

A crime scene was established and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

They are also appealing for help to locate the man, who is described as being of caucasian appearance.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue surgical face mask, grey Abercrombie and Fitch top with ‘A & F1982’ in white lettering, light grey track pants and black runners.
