Using the geometry of graffiti and street art along the walls of a pedestrian tunnel as inspiration, four dancers with a background in hip hop, breaking, house and popping will take you on a journey that puts a spotlight on how graffiti and street dance are related.
Dancer, choreographer and performance-maker Adam Warburton is joining forces with and street dancers Karen Otero, Dechen Gendun and Jonathan Ng in this new work that uses street art as inspiration to create movement.
“The colourful and distinct graffiti and street art of Phibs, George Rose, Beastman and James P Simon creates an eye-catching background for the dance work that will see dancers pop, boogie and breakdance from one end of the tunnel to the other, taking the audience on a visual journey,” Warburton said of Geometric Flow that will be performed on at 4.30pm on Saturday, March 28 and 6.30pm on Sunday, March 29 as part of March Dance.
