In a shocking scene, a man has allegedly kicked and beaten up a dog in broad daylight on a street in Sydney’s inner west.

A 51-year-old man will front court next month after he allegedly committed a shocking act of cruelty on a dog in Sydney’s inner west.
Footage of the alleged attack, which has gone viral on social media, appears to show the Sydenham man beating up the helpless dog in a violent rampage on a street in Marrickville on Thursday.
“He was seen kicking the s*** out of the dog and hitting it with a stick, causing the dog to vomit and poo itself,” a post on Facebook page ‘Pound Patrol’ said.
Police and RSPCA inspectors tracked the man down at a Sydenham address about 11am yesterday, issuing him with a Field Court Attendance Notice for committing an act of cruelty on an animal.
The dog is now in the care of RSPCA veterinary staff, while the man will appear in Newtown Local Court on September 19.
