Jason Humphreys: Truckie who raped teen jailed for 4 years

A truckie who drugged and raped a teenage girl shows “ no remorse” and delivered a disturbing response to what he said was the only mistake he made that night.

What to do if you think a child is being abused

A depraved child molester who plied an underage girl with meth before violently raping her in the back of his truck has maintained the only mistake he made that night was letting the teen go.

The chilling words of Jason Humphreys can be revealed for the first time after he was sentenced in the District Court on Monday.

The Panania man, a court has heard, shows no remorse for the sick attack on a young girl he met on social media and maintained his innocence as he sat inside a NSW correctional centre this week.

The first thing the 40-year-old truck driver said as the young girl begged him to stop, the court was told, was: “all you women are the same youse are never satisfied”.

A jury had found him guilty of sexual intercourse without consent and assault occasioning bodily harm but acquitted him of four other similar charges in May.

The confornting revents of April 2019 began when Humphreys picked up the teen from her inner west home, drove her to Eastern Creek, gave her meth, had consensual sex with her before raping the minor and pinning her arms down.

According to a psychologist’s report read at his Downing Centre District Court sentencing Humphreys said: “his only mistake was telling her to leave and not taking her home”.

The distressed young girl was forced to seek help at a nearby business in the early hours of the morning after the violent ordeal, where she disclosed to a security guard Humphreys was still sitting in the truck he sexually assaulted her in just metres away.

“He maintains he is innocent and not guilty. He asserts she fabricated the incident and as a result attributed blame to the victim for his incarceration,” Judge David Wilson said.

The incident inside Humphreys’ truck went on for close to an hour, the court was told on Monday.

The disturbing details of what happened in the back cab of his truck were aired in court, though some details are too graphic to publish.

The minor’s ordeal had started when they met on a website called “meetme.com” before, after several long phone calls with Humphreys, the young girl agreed to meet up with him in the early hours of the morning two years ago.

From there Humphreys coached her how to smoke a meth pipe and began abusing the teen before kicking her out of his truck miles from her home.

Judge Wilson said Humphreys “expressed sympathy” to the victim about her difficult past but had denied all the allegations when first interviewed by police.

Humphreys, who was already in custody, was sentenced to four years and three months in jail but will be eligible for parole after serving three years and two months.
