LABOR abor federal Grayndler MP proved he was the king of the kids at Annandale Public School when he played Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off during a DJ set.

Perhaps taking comfort from the words of the lyrics It’s gonna be alright, Albo danced along with kids while spinning and scratching the records before him.

His Greens rival Jim Casey followed suit, though he failed to pull a crowd of the same size and enthusiasm.

It remains to be seen who will win the favour of the people who are actually old enough to vote.

A Greens volunteer said she thought Albo should be worried — but the long-standing MP brushed aside any concerns about the polls.

“The Greens campaign is about removing progressive Labor members from the Parliament, so Adam Bandt has someone to talk to,” Albo quipped.

“Adam Bandt’s not a bad bloke, but we’ll assign people to talk to him if he’s feeling lonely in the House of Representatives - we’re a reasonable party, we’re fair and compassionate and we’ll assign someone to have lunch with him.”
