Designer goods seized from Comanchero’s inner west home
A high-ranking gang member was arrested after police discovered clothing, bags and shoes from Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel.
A high-ranking member of the Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) has been charged after designer goods were seized from his inner west property.
The designer items, believed to be the proceeds of crime, included Yves Saint Laurent shoes, Louis Vuitton handbags, sunglasses and sneakers, and even a pair of fluffy pink Louis Vuitton slippers.
Many of the items were still in their packaging.
Strike Force Raptor raided the home of 38-year-old Comanchero at 6am today as part of their ongoing targeting of the illicit acitivities of the gang.
The Comanchero was arrested at the Concord property and taken to Burwood Police Station.
The man was charged with two counts of recklessly deal with proceeds of crime, three counts of publish false misleading material to obtain advantage, and deal with property proceeds of crime.
The Strike Force also found documentation relevant to their investigation.
The gang member was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today.
All the items will now undergo forensic examination.
