Yi-Chieh Hsu faces court over Croydon, Homebush, Lugarno ice raids

Police have charged three people after $465,000 worth of ice and $78,000 in cash was allegedly seized following raids on homes and a business in Sydney’s inner west.

Three people have been charged after $465,000 worth of ice and $78,000 cash was seized after police raided homes across Sydney on Wednesday.

Police executed four search warrants — three at homes in Croydon, Homebush and Lugarno and one at a Homebush business at 11am on Wednesday.

More than 620 grams of ice was allegedly found in the search, with an estimated street value of $465,000.

Police also allegedly found $78,000 in cash, 170 grams of cannabis, 290 grams of unidentified powders, anabolic steroids as well as prescription medications.

Yi-Chieh Hsu, 44, was arrested at Croydon and charged with 16 offences including 11 counts of drug supply in an indictable quantity, two commercial quantity drug charges, drug possession and dealing with proceeds of a crime.

Police facts allege she supplied more than 2 kilograms of methylamphetamine between June and August this year on more than nine occasions in Croydon and Lugarno.

She was also charged with possessing 30.6g of cannabis.

At Burwood Local Court on Thursday her legal aid lawyer did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.

Magistrate Bruce Williams adjourned the matter to October 14.

In Homebush a 28-year-old man was arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station where he was charged with supplying a prohibited drug in an indictable quantity.

The man was granted bail and will appear at Burwood Court October 15.

At the Lugarno home a 24-year-old was arrested and issued a court attendance notice for three counts of drug possession.

He’ll face Downing Centre Local Court November 13.

The operation was led by the Surry Hills Region Enforcement Squad under strike force Grundy, which was established in May to investigate the supply of ice across Sydney.
