Dapto crash: Woman suffers suspected head injuries
A woman in her 40s has been flown to hospital in a serious condition after she was hit by a car while trying to chase after her dog.

A 47-year-old woman has been flown to hospital with suspected head injuries and fractures to her wrist after she was hit by a car in Dapto this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Parkside Drive just after 1pm on Thursday, following reports a woman had been struck by a car.
It’s understood the woman’s dog had run out into the street and that she was hit by her neighbour, a woman in her 60s, as she chased after it.
Five ambulances and a helicopter was called to the scene due to the serious nature of her injuries.
Just before 2pm, she was flown to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police have confirmed the 60-year-old driver was transported to Wollongong Hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing following the incident.
