A father is desperate to be reunited with his eight-year-old daughter nearly two months after she was last seen in the northern Illawarra.
Molly Rose Noonan-Medley, was last seen at Woonona about 11am on Thursday, October 31. The little girl is believed to be in the company of her 50-year-old mother Jacki Lynne Medley.
Since this time, Molly’s father, Henry Noonan has been trying to find his daughter and return her to his care.
The location of mother and daughter is unknown, however, Jacki is known to frequent the Woonona, Wollongong and Huskisson areas.
Molly is described as being of caucasian appearance with a fair complexion, 130 to 140cm tall with a thin build, high forehead, deep blue eyes and golden blonde/light brown long hair. It is not known what Molly may be wearing.
On Tuesday, the Australian Federal Police stepped up the search for the girl after multiple pleas for assistance from the NSW Police.
A Recovery Order has been issued by the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia authorising all members of the AFP, state and territory police forces, and the marshal of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia to recover the child.
AFP Detective Acting Superintendent Carly Smith said by releasing this information, it was hoped someone in the community would recognise Molly or Jacki and contact authorities.
“The pain of a missing child is incomparable. We can only imagine the strain this situation is placing on Molly’s family and loved ones with Christmas around the corner,” Det A/Supt Smith said.
“If you see Molly or Jacki, or have any information on their whereabouts, we urge you to contact Crime Stoppers and help reunite Molly with her family.
“Hiding a child from their families can have adverse effects. These types of actions are inexcusable and can significantly endanger the wellbeing of the children involved.”
If anyone has information about the whereabouts of the pair please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
