It is understood 25 of the people involved were agricultural students visiting from Japan, while the other four people were a young Japanese family taking part in a farm stay at the property.

NSW Ambulance Inspector Kelvin Milne said all of the students escaped injury free while two of the four visiting family members were conveyed to Wollongong Hospital with minor injuries.

“A six-year-old and an eight-year-old were conveyed to hospital with their mother and father,” he said.

“The two young children were complaining of a bit of chest pain, minor injuries, just taken for observation and assessment.

“A 40-year-old gentleman [was also taken to hospital] with left knee pain. Nothing serious.”

It is understood the 40-year-old man was the students’ bus driver.

Inspector Milne said the wagon rolled as it was driving down a steep hill on the property.

“It looks like the wagon’s come off on the side of the steep incline,” he said.

“It was lucky it didn’t go over the hill otherwise we’d be looking at further serious injuries.”

Inspector Milne said each of the passengers removed themselves from the wagon and walked back down the hill for assessment upon the arrival of paramedics and police.
