A Primbee drug peddler busted dealing nearly 5kg of dope has been sentenced to a 10-month intensive correction order.

Suljo Nadarevic, who also goes by the name Simon, learnt his fate in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday after previously pleading guilty to supplying a prohibited drug – namely 4.5kg of cannabis.

Documents tendered in court indicated the 49-year-old was involved in offloading a luxury vehicle alleged drug dealer Daniel Bojlevski is accused of purchasing from Southern Classic Cars with cash claimed via criminal exploits.

The Jag was impounded by police between May 28, 2021, and June 9, that year, after Bojlevski was pulled over in Kogarah and nearly $70,000 was allegedly seized.

A week after the car was returned to Bojlevski it was in the possession of Nadarevic who arranged to offload it to Westside Auto Wholesale in Western Australia.

On July 6, 2021, Westside Auto paid $114,000 for the Jag with $26,388 transferred to Nadarevic and the rest to Volkswagen Financial Services who financed the purchase.

Westside Auto and Volkswagen Financial Services are not accused of any wrongdoing.

Court documents stated on July 18, 2021, a phone tap picked up Nadarevic telling an associate about wheeling and dealing the Jag.

Nadarevic said he bought it off Bojlevski for $100,000 before “getting the f--king bugs removed”.

In other conversations with the same associate, as well as another man, Nadarevic discusses the procurement and distribution of cannabis.

Police brought Nadarevic’s shonky side hustle to an end in April, 2022, when they pulled him over a short distance from his home about 6.15am.

In court on Wednesday, Ms Girotto noted Nadarevic did not have a criminal record and his need to care for one of his children.

“He’s buying kilos and kilos of the stuff,” she said.

“I know he’s got no record, but drugs are drugs.

“All drug dealing is as bad as each other, but the law puts the quantity of marijuana much higher than something like cocaine – the bottom line is it’s illegal to use or supply prohibited drugs.”

In addition to the ICO, Nadarevic was instructed to continue his psychological treatment until it is no longer required.
