Large sum of $50 notes found floating in Dapto creek
Investigations are underway after a young boy spotted a large sum of $50 notes floating in Dapto’s Mullett Creek just after 9am this morning. Police are trying to work out who owns it and how it got into the creek.

Emergency services have spent the morning scouring an Illawarra creek after a large sum of cash was found floating in the water.
NSW Police, the State Emergency Service and Fire and Rescue crews attended Dapto’s Mullet Creek on Monday morning, after a young boy spotted the wad of $50 notes in the water.
The search uncovered more money floating in the water, with crews using nets and kayaks to retrieve the cash.
Police are now trying to determine whether the money is real or counterfeit before they start investigating how, and when, it got to the creek.
