Kiama: Drugs, cash, jewellery seized in coastal drug bust
A man will face court after nearly $70,000 in cash, 300 vials of an unknown substance, jewellery and more was seized by police during a south coast drug bust.

A man has been charged and police seized anabolic steroids, nearly $70,000 in cash and jewellery during an investigation into alleged ongoing drug supply on the NSW south coast.
The charge came after Strike Force Amalfi was launched in March this year to investigate ongoing supply of prohibited and restricted drugs across the Illawarra and south coast regions.
About 7.15am yesterday, officers attached to the Illawarra Region Enforcement Squad – with the assistance of officers from the Lake Illawarra Police District – executed a search warrant on a premises in Ocean St, Kiama.
Police discovered and seized the steroids, cash and jewellery which they alleged to be the proceeds of crime.
Officers also discovered and seized 300 vials of an unknown substance and electronic devices which will be examined.
A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to the Lake Illawarra Police Station.
He was charged six counts of possess prescribed restricted substance, three counts of supply prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis and two counts of knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail and will appear in the Wollongong Local Court today.
