Jake Platt: Man charged over alleged sexual acts in Wollongong

A man who allegedly exposed himself to one woman and sexually touched another at a bus stop in Wollongong has been charged.
On September 24 at around 8.45am, officers were alerted to an incident at a bus stop on Keira St, near Crown St.
A 54-year-old woman reported that a man had allegedly touched her inappropriately.
Not long after, the man allegedly exposed himself to a 30-year-old woman before leaving the scene.
An investigation into the two alleged incidents was launched by officers from the Wollongong Police District.
A few hours later, police arrested Jake Platt, 29, while he was outside the shopping centre in Crown St.
Platt was taken to the police station and charged with sexually touching another person without consent, carrying out a sexual act with another person without consent, common assault and stalking.
He faced the Wollongong Local Court yesterday and was refused bail. Platt will return to the court on October 15 2024.
