Hit and run: Man in critical condition with head injuries after being hit by car
Police are searching for a driver involved in an alleged hit and run in the Illawarra region after a 24-year-old man suffered a broken leg and critical head injuries on Saturday night.

A pedestrian is in a critical condition after a hit and run in the Lake Illawarra region last night.
Just after 10pm on Saturday, a 24-year-old man was walking west on Lake Avenue, near Bethlehem Street, Cringila, when he was struck by a vehicle.
The man was treated at the scene by paramedics for a broken leg and head injuries before being airlifted to St George Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
The driver allegedly failed to stop and took off.
Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit attended and commenced an investigation.
Investigators are following several lines of inquiry to identify and locate the driver and vehicle which is described as a white Suzuki sedan or hatchback.
Any witnesses or anyone with information or dashcam vision are urged to come forward.
