Family of missing man Gary Pearce, 21, appeal for public assistance

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a young man who went missing from the Illawarra region last week.

Gary Pearce, aged 21, was last seen in North Wollongong on Tuesday night, April 23, and it is believed he may be located in the Illawarra region.

About 4pm Friday, April 26, family members attended Lake Illawarra Police Station and reported Gary missing, before detectives commenced inquiries.

Family and police hold serious concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is described as being out of character.

Gary’s family have tried multiple times to contact him, but say his phone has been switched off.

Gary is described as being of caucasian appearance with an olive complexion, 165cm to 175cm tall, with a medium build, brown hair, and a beard and moustache.

Anyone with information relating to Gary’s whereabouts is urged to contact Lake Illawarra Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
