Crown Street crime scene: man critically injured after one-punch attack
A man has been seriously injured in a violent brawl in the Wollongong CBD overnight.

A man is in a critical condition after he was king hit while trying to break up a fight outside a Wollongong nightclub last night.
Lower Crown Street in Wollongong has been blocked off to the public for most of Sunday morning, as police canvas the area following the incident, which has left two men in hospital.
Officers from Wollongong Police Area Command arrived at the lower end of Crown Street around 3.15am, finding a 36-year-old man lying unconscious on the ground, suffering serious head injuries.
A second man, aged 34, was also assaulted, suffering facial injuries.
Both men were treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Wollongong Hospital where the older man remains in a critical condition.
Police say two men were fighting when the 36-year-old man attempted to intervene and was reportedly punched in the head, falling to the ground unconscious.
The men involved have been described as being of Maori/Pacific Islander appearance. One being of a large build, wearing a green jacket, white shirt, and denim jeans. Another wearing a dark t-shirt, denim jeans, and a dark cap.
