Armed thief steals money, cigarettes from Wollongong service station
Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a Wollongong servo in the early hours of Thursday morning.

About 1.45am on Thursday, a man entered the Caltex service station on Crown Street armed with a knife.
The man threatened the 28-year-old male attendant and demanded money, before fleeing with cash and cigarettes.
Police were alerted and officers from Wollongong Police District attended and commenced inquiries.
Investigators are appealing for public assistance to identify and locate the man involved.
He’s described as being of caucasian appearance, aged in his late teens to early 20s, approximately 175cm tall, with a slim build.
The man was last seen running west along Crown Street.
