A glamorous Albion Park mum has admitted to delivering thousands of dollars worth of cannabis to an alleged drug dealer at Goulburn in a white Suzuki Swift.

Kathleen Day, 20, appeared in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday, where she pleaded guilty to a string of offences relating to the supply of cannabis.

Court documents revealed detectives from Goulburn set up Strike Force Arte in July 2018, to investigate an alleged local drug dealer.

During the lengthy investigation, detectives allegedly discovered the alleged dealer was sourcing cannabis from Day’s partner, Connor O’Dwyer, who is also the father of her baby.

Police allegedly recorded O’Dwyer taking six trips to the dealer’s Goulburn home between October 2018 and January 2019, delivering $72,000 worth of cannabis in three or four pound lots.

But on January 7, O’Dwyer was caught driving while disqualified, and allegedly turned to his girlfriend Day for help.

Day then began driving the drugs to the alleged Goulburn dealer in her Suzuki Swift with O’Dwyer as a passenger

Police facts state Day would often take up to four pounds of cannabis to Goulburn at a time, after O’Dwyer allegedly organised a delivery time with the dealer the day prior.

During one of the alleged delivery runs on February 24 this year, Day texted her sister, telling her she had to hide from police in Goulburn, after realising it was graduation day at the police academy.

“There was heaps of cops in Goulburn last night cause the academy graduated,” the text message read. “Hiding in the bushes on the way home last night.”

On May 8 the young mum delivered another four pounds of cannabis right to the dealer’s doorstep. But prior to leaving Albion Park, she and O’Dwyer stopped at a service station, where Day was captured driving the Suzuki Swift on CCTV footage.

Day’s drug couriering operation was swiftly shut down on June 4, when she was arrested at Albion Park following a traffic stop. O’Dwyer was also in the car at the time, and arrested and charged for his alleged role in the operation.

During her appearance at Wollongong Court, Day was wearing a fluffy pink jacket that features heavily on her Instagram account. She did not speak, and let her defence lawyer enter the guilty pleas on her behalf.

O’Dwyer is facing 17 charges related to drug supply and is currently on remand at Goulburn Correctional Centre. He has not yet entered any pleas to the charges and will return to court in November.

Day will also return to court in November for sentencing.
