A western Sydney rapper who just dropped an album which is currently sitting at number one on the ARIA charts has allegedly struck a girl across the face, plunging his sold out tour into chaos.

Benjamin Hayden, 29, better known by his rapper name ‘Huskii’ appeared in Blacktown Local Court on Friday where he applied for bail.

Hayden has been charged with common assault – domestic violence related, intentionally or recklessly destroy/damage property – domestic violence related and contravene an apprehended domestic violence order.

The rapper told the court all the charges were “lies”.

The court heard allegations Hayden struck Temmah Ryan who was driving a car on Thursday afternoon about 3pm.

Hayden, sitting in the passenger seat, allegedly called her a sl*t before throwing her necklace out the car window and ripping her pants as she attempted to flee.

After reporting the incident to police, Hayden was arrested and taken to Blacktown police station where he was charged.

In Blacktown Local Court on Friday Hayden’s lawyer applied for his release and told the court his client “completely denies” the allegations and said he could live with one of his managers, if granted bail.

The lawyer told the court when an argument between Hayden and Ms Ryan broke out, the rap artist was on the phone to his manager, who could be called before the court as a witness.

The police prosecutor strongly opposed Hayden’s bail and said he was an unacceptable risk to both the victim and the community.

The court also heard the rapper had served time in prison for acts of domestic violence.

Magistrate Brian van Zuylen said Hayden’s 16 page criminal record was “damning”.

Mr van Zuylen also said Hayden had previously been sentenced for domestic violence against the alleged victim Ms Ryan.

Through videolink, Hayden begged for his release and said the allegations were “lies” before stating the alleged victim was ruining his life and music career.

“She is just ruining my life,” he said. “She has lied, I didn’t do it and this is all for nothing. I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Magistrate van Zuylen refused bail and set the matter down for hearing on August 17, with a brief to be served next month.

Hayden on hearing the magistrate’s ruling said: “so I am in jail until August? I will appeal this at the Supreme Court. This is so wrong, she can’t just ruin my life like this. I have a tour and a career.”
