Taxi driver dies in Hornsby, Peats Ferry Road crash
A taxi driver who had two passengers with him has died after crashing into a pole at the side of a road.

A taxi driver has died in a crash in Sydney’s northwest on Sunday afternoon.
About 2pm emergency services were called to Peats Ferry Road, near the Pacific Highway at Hornsby, following reports a taxi had hit a pole at the side of the road.
The driver was identified as a 69-year-old man and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, died at the scene.
The two other passengers in the taxi were uninjured in the collision.
Officers attached to Kuring Gai Police Area Command established a crime scene and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will now be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
