A man has been charged after an alleged robbery and assault on a train in Sydney’s north.
Around 9.45pm on Tuesday, police arrived at Roseville Railway Station after receiving reports of an alleged assault.
Officers from the Police Transport Command were informed that a 42-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by another man as they travelled on a train heading towards Central Station.
It’s understood the two men are not known to each other.
The injured man was treated by paramedics for nose and head injuries, before he was taken to the Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment.
Police established a crime scene and began investigating the incident.
At about 1.40pm on Thursday,Steven Kadar, 45, was arrested at Hornsby Railway Station.
Kadar was charged with aggravated robbery with wounding/grievously bodily harm.
He was refused bail and is set to appearbefore the Downing Centre Local Court on October 22.
