Congestion on our roads will likely drive voters to the polls today across the Berowra electorate.

Incumbent Liberal MP Julian Leeser is facing off against eight contenders in the race for Berowra, including Labor’s Katie Gompertz, The Greens’ Monica Tan, Sustainable Australia’s Justin Thomas, The Science Party’s Brendan Clarke, Independent Mick Gallagher, United Australia Party’s Craig McLachlan, independent Roger Woodward and Christian Democrat Simon Taylor.

The seat is considered a very safe blue ribbon seat, which has been held by the Liberal Party since its creation in 1969. Labor candidate Katie Gompertz contested the State Election in the seat of Hornsby and is likely to retain the votes in Brooklyn, however on a two-party preferred basis Liberal’s sit at 66.4 per cent approval.
