Influencer Amarni Skaf has broken her silence over the assault charges laid against her by her own sister, Aisha.
Following a brief attendance in court on Monday, the singer, rapper and dancer with a combined 300,000 followers on social media, reached out to her many fans.
She is often seen posting raunchy pictures on her social platforms, but on Monday night Amarni posted a series of emotional videos to Instagram where she broke her silence about the family feud.
“As I’ve been expecting, my phone’s been blowing up over the last hour. I’ve seen the article that’s come out about my court case today against my sister,” she said in the Instagram Story.
“It’s disgusting to say the least, the whole situation’s disgusting but the fact, to talk about it publicly is even worse.,” Amarni Skaf said in an Instagram video to her fans.
Skaf was charged with common assault in relation to an incident on March 21.
According to court papers, police allege she assaulted her sister Aisha Skaf.
She has pleaded not guilty.
“For those of you who don’t know how courts work basically if you don’t work with the police or say yes to doing an interview or write a statement you don’t get your say until the end of the case.”
A hearing date was set for March 29, 2021 at Hornsby Local Court.
“Anyway thank you guys so much for all the love and the messages of strength, they honestly make me cry so often but I’m so grateful because this is like my little family here. I try to be transparent because my life isn’t f****ng glitter and roses and I just keep it real,” she told her followers.
“Jealously is a curse but I know I’m given all these situations because I know God knows that I’m the only one that can get through it so that’s what definitely keeps me going.”
Before she attended court on Monday, the influencer, dressed in black, posted a video to her Facebook while flipping her middle finger to the camera.
She also took a picture of a Hornsby Advocate reporter who was snapping her outside court before she got into a black car.
She posted a video to Instagram stating: “Honestly preparing myself for the most ridiculous story, cause I didn’t even realise there was a pap in the courtroom today so fabulous, what a blessing”.
