Woman knocked unconscious after falling from horse at north west Sydney riding centre

CAREFLIGHT have treated a 40-year-old woman after she fell from a horse in Arcadia.

CAREFLIGHT have treated a 40-year-old woman after she fell from a horse in Arcadia.

The woman was knocked unconscious after falling from the horse while show jumping at a Riding Centre at on Thursday morning.

The CareFlight rapid response helicopter was tasked to treat the woman at 10.41am.

A CareFlight spokesman said the helicopter landed a safe distance from horses in a neighbouring paddock.

“CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic were the first emergency crews on scene,” the spokesman said.

“The medical team managed the patient, who was in a stable condition, and continued treating her in a road ambulance as she was transported to Westmead Hospital.”
