A woman has died in hospital after a two-car crash in Sydney’s northwest.
Emergency services were called to Tuckwell Rd, Castle Hill about 5.25pm on Wednesday, after reports of a two-car crash.
On arrival at the scene, officers from The Hills Police were told a silver Mercedes sedan and a white Isuzu Ute had crashed into each other.
The front passenger of the Mercedes – a 58-year-old woman – was treated by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition. She later died in hospital.
The driver of the sedan – a 24-year-old woman – and two other passengers, aged 60 and 18, were also taken to the same hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Ute’s driver, a 47-year-old man, was also taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory testing and he is assisting police with their inquiries.
Crash Investigation Unit officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.
