Vandals have targeted a quiet street in West Pennant Hills by damaging seven vehicles parked on the road, leaving residents shocked and upset.

Vandals have targeted a quiet street in West Pennant Hills by damaging seven vehicles parked on the road, leaving residents shocked and upset.

Long scratch marks were etched along the driver’s side panels and doors of at least seven vehicles parked on Jacana Pl between 11pm on Saturday and 8am on Sunday.

Narvia, who did not want her last name published, said six cars and a truck had been “keyed” leaving extensive damage.

She said five of the vehicles belonged to her family members who were staying at her father’s house for the night.

“It is really sad,” she said. “It includes two cars and a truck belonging to my dad who will have to get them repaired now. It is not an easy fix either.”

She said it was a good neighbourhood and the other residents along the dead-end street were shocked to hear what happened.

“It gives (the area) a really bad rep. Everyone else on the street was shocked because it is a quiet street in a good area,” she said.

“My heart goes out to all the people affected.”

She said she had reported the incident to police.

The Hills police said they were investigating the incident which had impacted numerous vehicles including causing $6000 damage to a Honda Odyssey.
