1. Rouse Hill
A group of about 20 young people, some armed with baseball bats, gathered for a brawl near Rouse Hill Town Centre on Sunday about 3pm.
Witnesses contacted police about the fight which police suspect involved about six of the youths. The group scattered as PolAir flew overhead.
Police said they found two baseball bats at the site, close to Caddies Creek and White Hart Drive. Police are investigating and there were no reported injuries.
Twenty minutes later, about 3.20pm, nine windows were smashed at nearby Rouse Hill High School after rocks were thrown at the school.
Unknown offenders threw rocks through the windows, setting off an alarm. Police are reviewing CCTV footage.
2. Castle Hill
A car was damaged in a Castle Towers carpark last Thursday and a note left on the windscreen which read: “Do not park here it is for tenants only”.
The owner returned to find the note and a pattern which had been scratched into the driver’s side of the car. The incident happened between 10am and 5.30pm.
3. Rouse Hill
The top of a man’s index finger was severed in a workplace incident on Windsor Rd on Friday.
The man was working at a car wash about 10.30am when a door was closed and severed his finger about 1.5cm from the tip.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital. The incident has been passed on to SafeWork NSW.
4. Kellyville
A 45-year-old Kellyville man has been charged with resisting arrest and mid-range drink driving after losing control of his vehicle in front of police.
Police saw a vehicle travelling at high speed along Rutherford Ave about 8.40pm on Thursday before the driver lost control and spun around at an intersection.
In other news:
Police spoke with the driver who had got out of the vehicle. Police could smell alcohol and tried to conduct a breath test.
The man resisted police and was handcuffed. He was taken to Castle Hill police station and returned a breath analysis of 0.147. He will front Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday, December 19.
5. Baulkham Hills
A man has stolen a $60 bottle of vodka after stuffing it down his pants and running from a shop. The incident happened about 7.40pm on Thursday at Liquorland Norwest.
