THE Esplanade has been given the green light to proceed after the Joint Regional Planning Panel approved the $280 million development.
The Thursday meeting saw the two-tower high-rise will arise on the site of the Sydney Ice Arena in Solent Circuit, Baulkham Hills; standing 19-and 20-storeys tall with 247 units.
These units will consist of 36 one-bedroom apartments, 179 two-bedroom units, 25 three-bedroom units and seven four-bedroom apartments.
The approved plans extend beyond residential as it also details a communal open space which will include an outdoor gym, outdoor cinema, putting green and seating areas.
There will also be a ground floor dedicated to restaurants and shops, three floors of office and commercial space and five levels for parking with 652 car spaces. Of these, 410 will be for residents and their guests and 240 allocated to residents.
Construction is expected to begin in early 2017.
Capital Corporation managing director Steve Grant said he was excited to see the development proceed.
“More than 85 per cent of buyers are local to the area and keen to stay connected to the community they love but want the change of lifestyle that Esplanade offers.
“We’ve had the chance to incorporate feedback from the council and the Norwest Business Association and we’re delighted with the outcome,” he said.
Prices start from $525,000 for a one-bedroom unit while the other apartments would cost buyers upwards from $725,000.
