A massive greenfield site in Rouse Hill — surrounded by residential homes and commercial buildings — could soon be transformed into a $60 million high-rise apartment complex featuring more than 330 homes.
The Bathla Group submitted plans for the development at 34 Spring Mill Ave, Rouse Hill, to the Hills Shire Council in August proposing the inclusion of 84 one, 187 two and 68 three-bedroom apartments alongside 551 car spaces.
The development site is bounded by the HOME Consortium retail precinct on Commercial Rd and more than a dozen homes on McCombe Ave, Rouse Hill.
The planners said three high-rise buildings, varying in heights between eight and 13 storeys, would be built at the site creating a high quality residential development “that will define part of the outer edge of the future Rouse Hill Regional Centre”.
“(The proposal will see) the creation of a cohesive ‘apartment village’ consisting of three distinct and attractive residential buildings that provide a high level of amenity for the
residents and to the wider community,” a planner for the proposal said.
A 3000sq m pocket park is included in the plans by Bathla Group forecast to provide recreational amenities on the site.
If approved by the Sydney Central City Planning Panel, the multimillion-dollar development will be constructed over two different stages.
