CASTLE Hill RSL Dolphins are savouring their most successful year after their swimmers won several medals at the 2017 state and Sydney Metropolitan North West Club championships.
Their dominance at the recent Sydney Metropolitan North West Club meeting saw them lift the long course and short course Club of the Year awards.
The Dolphins have a rich history of producing champions with their latest being junior Australian 400m IM star Sienna McDonald, 16, who moved to Queensland last year to train with the national team.
This is also the first time the club, founded in 1982, have been crowned Sydney Metropolitan North West Club winners with their 15 and over squad smashing the medley relay record.
The team comprised Callum Duke, Jordan Fitzgerald, Scott Anschau and Damien Yabsley.
The other champions included David Kwon (boys under-9), Elina Napernikova (girls U9), Andrew Koh (boys U14), Damon Hurley (boys U15), Callum Duke (boys U16) and Scott Anschau (boys 16-18).
The club continued their form at the State Swimming Championships at Homebush where Felcity Chan won the 100m breaststroke and a bronze in the 200m breaststroke in the 14 years age group.
Jordan Fitzgerald took home bronze medals in the 50m and 100m freestyle in the boys 16 events.
