A cafe tucked away from the main street of Castle Hill has been voted the best cafe in Sydney by its loyal fans.
Sit and Sip Cafe in Cecil Ave took out the Australian Good Food Guide’s 2017 Readers Choice award in the Sydney Cafe category.
Cafe owner Nathan Bone said he was “shocked” when he was told of the win in a phone call a few weeks ago.
Voting was open from January 1 to December 31 last year with the winners announced last month.
“It’s great to see the local people got behind them, well done guys,” AGFG’s resident chef Shawn Sheather said.
The cafe’s quiet location with plenty of parking makes it ideal for a relaxing meal.
The menu ranges from traditional cafe fare such as bacon and egg rolls and salt and pepper squid through to contemporary cafe cuisine, like vanilla bean French toast with grilled banana or bacon (or both), and a custom-made salad bar.
Take a break from coffee with one of the cafe’s healthy protein shakes and smoothies or indulgent milkshakes and iced drinks.
Sampling the housemate lemonade is a must — it is so popular that the cafe now bottles it.
