A Kellyville couple are desperately calling for the return of their six-month-old Pug cross after he was stolen from their home during a robbery.
Emily Heiden is calling on The Hills community to keep a look out for her puppy, Bello, after a group of men broke into her home into the middle of the night — also taking off with cash, bank cards and keys.
“Bello is super energetic and thinks he’s an Olympic champion in the running scene,” Ms Heiden told the Hills Shire Times.
“He’s fun, playful and can pick up your emotions quickly.
“He always listens to you as he cocks his head to the side when you speak — he likes to invade your personal space all the time by constantly trying to be as close to you as possible.”
CCTV footage captured four men entering the backyard of the home in Grace Cres on Monday, January 7.
“We hear barking on the footage, the guys return later and are heard on the footage laughing and saying ‘I got a dog’,” Ms Heiden said.
“It would be great if anyone in the community with any information can come forward and people please keep a watch out for Bello the pug.”
A Hills Police Area Command spokesman confirmed officers were investigating the break and enter.
“The backyard of the property was fully enclosed,” the spokesman said. “The pug is microchipped.”
