Post Office Rd, Glenorie: Man allegedly busted crashing car, drink driving with kids

A man has been charged with drink driving, while he had two young children in the car, after he crashed into four parked cars and returned a breath test allegedly four times above the legal limit.

A 37-year-old man has allegedly been caught driving a luxury car, with two young children in the back, while four times above the legal blood alcohol limit.

Emergency services responded to reports of a BMW M5 crashing into four parked vehicles on Post Office Rd, Glenorie about 7:40pm Monday.

When officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command arrived at the scene, they noticed two children, aged three and eight, in the back seat of the car.

The driver took a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Castle Hill police station where he underwent a secondary breath test. Here, he returned an alleged reading of 0.224 — more than four times above the legal limit.

The man’s licence was suspended and he was charged with high range drink driving.

He will appear at Parramatta Local Court on June 30.
