Police bike squad gets rolling around the Hills

Members of the NSW Police bicycle unit are out about in the Hills today on the police mountain bikes.
The high visibility bike patrol members are on parol in Rouse Hill, Baulkham Hills and Castle Hill.
There are 400 general duties police who are part of the bike squad across NSW.
Today’s team of 15 NSW police officers came from all over Sydney for the operation.
Hills duty officer, Detective Inspector Matt Harris said the high visibility presence promoted community reassurance and safety,
“The bikes enable the officer’s to cover considerable distance quickly, at areas not usually accessible to police vehicles,” he said.
The focus today has been on schools reserves and major shopping centres.
